Very disappointing website, probably scam
I registered some 6 months ago or more and a friend of mine topped up some 20$, we tried the website, couldn’t take my money back and then forgot about it.
Recently I received a message that I would be charged some amount because of inactivity (why would you charge for that?). Anyway, a few days ago I decided to try to take my money back and it was said that withdrawals are blocked. I thought, oh maybe this is a security issue and tried to verify my account. I sent my passport scan and took a selfie, they declined and said I need to write the year not “20”, but “2020” so I had to make another selfie. Then they didn’t like the quality of the selfie. I took another one. Then, finally, the verification was successful. After that, I decided to withdraw – and received “withdrawals blocked” error again. I waited for 3-5 days (because I have recovered the password recently) and tried to withdraw again – no progress.
Then, I created a ticket about that and the support asked me to
“• Reply to this message stating your username (login) and EXMO e-mail;
• Log in to EXMO from your registered IP address or the IP address you most frequently use and send us the time of login.”
I replied with my EXMO email but I couldn’t login with the same IP as I am using VPNs frequently.
Their answer was:
“Dear User,
To make sure that you are the real owner of the account, which means you have all information about your account and can confirm it, we ask you to provide a full-screen video of the resource, from which funds were sent to EXMO 11.10.2019 in cryptocurrency ВТС.
On the video should be clearly visible:
– logged-in user on resource, where you deposited currency to EXMO;
– payment ID;
– date/time;
– current date and time on the device (laptop, mobile phone).”
Wow. Now I need to ask a person who deposited about 6 months ago to take this kind of video? No way. And how would this prove my ownership?
The response was:

To prevent fraud, we must be certain that the user is the account owner. This is why we ask users to provide additional information that can help us identify the account owner.
Please send us a video selfie, which should also contain the document uploaded for verification of identity, with current date and “EXMO”, written by hand on a sheet A4 paper. See attached picture.”
Great. I need to take that fricking selfie again a couple of times just because? Does the verification that I made 5 days ago matter then?
All I can say, their requests to prove my identity lack logic. What if I were some kind of hacker and It wasn’t my account originally, but now I will send these videos and selfies for verification and they will give me my ~20 bucks?
I spent too much time on this and I’m not going to send any personal data to this website anymore. I would suggest anyone against using this website
In Crypto i was mostly working with bitcoin only. And i have platform to work with it. 4 years of cooperate and all was fine.
But one day a client said he has no BTC, but has ETH. My platform was supporting only BTC, so i started to search where can i receive ETH.
Found aт EXMO. Registered it, received the funds. All seems to be fine.
Saved login/passw and ETH balance and forget about it for a couple years, cause i wasnt needed it at that time.
Recently i have started trading crypto, and remebered that i have a small funds of ETH on EXMO. Decided to move it from EXMO to my current exchange, where im working now.
I have entered my account, and found 0 balance. Nothing.
I wrote to support, but got no reply.
When i received the ETH amount of them was about 100$. But it has dropped and now its about 15$. Not too much left, but anyway. That was my money.

EXMO is much better then others cryptoexchanges because of their politics and they give us the opportunity to work with a clean crypt and don’t worry that you may be involved in some kind of fraud. This is a cryptofuture!
Update: Same issue repeats now after 3 days. Not receiving code again since last night and unable to trade. Looks like this is a start-up trading platform who are still working on technical infrastructure?
Verification code doesn’t arrive to my mobile. Been trying since yesterday and have contacted EXMO this morning. Still no response. I’ve invested some money and now worried what’s happening with it. Inquiry # (814397) . I’ve been using coinbase for past 3 years and never had to face an issue like this.
